The Pandemic Grief
Its hard to believe that in January of 2021, I find myself writing again or shall I say… still about the pandemic! That we are still dealing with this with no real END in sight is mind boggling. I want to share the five stages of grief. to explain that grief comes in may forms and although you may have been blessed not to have lost a loved one or dear friend or job you may still be grieving, grieving the inability to travel or have a dinning experience at your favorite eatery. Perhaps you were planning a major event that had to be postponed or now cancelled all together. The stages of grief are:
Denial
Anger
Bargaining
Depression
Acceptance
Have you felt any of these emotions recently, now you know it might have been grief. Let us “accept” that even now there are areas in our lives to be grateful for: health, and strength, loved ones and the power of individual and collective prayer. Spending down time journaling reasons to be grateful and planning your next steps once the social distancing restrictions are lifted will enhance your feelings of Peace and Clarity as well as the realization and recognition that this too shall pass!
